Cincy Car Show + Colin's Car show

Tonight, Grant and Daddy took a trip to the Cincy Car show! Grant loves getting to climb in all the cars and trucks, see the engines, but he especially wants to see the race cars!

Here Grant sits in a go-cart and shows us his "racing face". Watch out NASCAR!

Grant also loved sitting in a police car. He didn't want to sit in the back. There's where the "bad people" sit.

Yesterday, Colin had his own little car show on the train table!

Colin knows exactly where the cars go! Colin loves the track Grammy!

Great Deal Finder Website

I know couponing blogs are getting quite popular these days. I admit I visit several every week to get the best pricing for my families. I just found one today that was particularly uplifting.

The site http://kingdomklipper.blogspot.com/ plays worship music in the background while you search the site finding the best bargains at local stores. It has been a rough day and to listen to this awesome worship music while doing rather mundane tasks has been a true blessing today. I hope this site blesses someone else as well!

Totally Tubular

Grant and I hit the slopes on Friday for both of our first experiences with tubing. It won't be our last! It was totally fun sliding down the slopes at 40-45 miles/hr and landing in gravel with no safety device to hold you in place:-) No injuries though, just some great memories. It was truly a rush and a beautiful day to boot:-)
Here we are getting ready for our first run. Grant was too focussed to pose for this pic;-) At the bottom, Grant jumped out and said "THAT WAS AWESOME"

I was proud of the boys for "persevering" and continuing to pull their tubes after they were dog tired.
Grant and I heading down together. On our last run we had 9 tubes hooked together - it was fun and frightening at the same time. More tubes = more speed. Can't wait until Colin is old enough for the whole family to go together.

Randomness

I grew up in a very small town (2500 people) about 200 miles from here. Through the World of Facebook I just found out that an old friend from school now lives in the area. Even more surprising is that he was my trash man for awhile and I never knew it. Small World!! He is in the military and leaving next week for Afghanistan. I have invited him to church this Sunday. Please pray that he comes, I think the sermon on God's sovereignty would be good for him to hear before he deploys.

Also, two times in the past 24 hours I have been asked if I was someone else. I know I have a familiar face but that seems a little extreme - had to laugh at that one!
