We started our Sat morning at a Lowe's kids workshop. I think they offer them twice a month and they are free. It was a cute project and Grant had fun. We will definitely do it again. I recommend going when they start at 10 though because by the time we left it was packed!!
Giving a 3 year old a project with a hammer is always a good idea isn't it??Here at the Sexton household we like to instill a work ethic early. Colin will be responsible for mowing beginning next spring. Here he is getting in some practice.
And finally, the highlight of the weekend for me was a picnic at the overlook at Devou Park. Kurt and I got engaged there almost 7 years ago. I loved taking my family back and remembering what a special day it was for us (and enjoying the view).

The Lowes day looks like something John Patrick would love. Are they free and how often?
When I told him he would be doing crafts at VBS I laughed when he asked if they were going to build windows and doors! I think John's "crafts" they do together have spoiled his VBS paper snake fun!
