Anyway, to make a little lemonade out of our lemons we decided to take the family to Clifty Falls in Madison, IN. It was so beautiful and turned out to be a wonderful trip for the family. If you haven't been, its worth the short one hour drive.
Its amazing how much harder these stairs are when you have a 30lber strapped on your back and in your first trimester. But we did it and loved it, well at least when I got my breath back again:-)
I asked Grant what his favorite part of the day was expecting to hear the beautifully colored trees or maybe the waterfalls. But nope, it was the tire swing that Daddy pushed him on. I asked why the waterfalls didn't win and his response was, "I would have liked for them to have more water." Seriously, out of the mouth of babes right??
It was great to spend a day in God's beautiful nature sharing it with my special little family. This is always true, but today it was much more obvious how blessed beyond measure I truly am.

Did I miss that you are pregnant in another post? Congratulations!!! That's super wonderful news. Also, that looks like a trip Eric and I will have to make with the kids.
Thanks Katie! Yes, I'm due on May 25, so about 10 weeks. I announced on Facebook but not on the blog:-) I think its a great day trip, plus you can take 42 the whole way and the drive itself is really beautiful.
What? I missed it too!
Congratulations!!!
Clifty Falls looks so beautiful in the Fall.
About the Ergo....just use it all the time from the very beginning and #3 will never know the difference. B/c of all our travels and living some place where you walk for most of your transportation during Claire's 1st year, I always had her in some kind of carrier. She could sleep anywhere anytime in any noise level if she was in one. And now even at almost 3, when she's tired or needs attention, she'll ask for a "carry". She's an incredibily independent kid but she knows when she's in the carrier, she's got me all to herself. But had I started it when she was older, there is NO WAY she'd stand for it. Just too independent. As for doing it while preggo, don't worry, eventually the belly will balance out the babe on the back. LOL! Enjoy!
