I just love the snow. The cold wind. The need for layers and layers of clothing. Love it. Just love it.... Okay, yeah.
That is no where close to the truth. Not really a big fan of stepping outside and having that first jolt of cold hit my body and overwhelm my senses for a moment. But, I have to admit this has been such a beautiful winter and I can truly say that I love that aspect of winter. This weekend was perfect to get outside and go sledding with my family - even my parents were in town to enjoy the festivities.

Grant and best friend huffing back up the hill after about, oh, 50 or so runs.

After secretly wishing I could unzip the baby belly for a few hours to join the fun, I decided to risk it and take a turn on the hills. Fun and the extra weight only made me faster. Hope the new babe enjoyed his first run on the hill.
The weekend was also filled with painting of the kids play room. We originally painted the room before kids and is designed to be a dining room. Honestly, the color scheme never looked the best so it felt GREAT to get the new warmer/more neutral color up. I love freshly painted rooms. They feel so clean. Any wagers until how long we get the first mark on the wall? It is a play room after all..

The boys loved being "big helpers" and helping Papaw and Daddy paint their special room.
And then the making of Kurt's Valentine's gift of
Bakerella's Cake Pops. Yummy. Fun. and MESSY...

And Colin sacrificing himself and making sure the Pops were up to par for his special Daddy.
A very special, sweet weekend indeed spent with those who are dearly loved.
